About

Inquiring Minds is a forum for investigating and revealing the hidden truth of what’s happening around us today.

By sharing knowledge and wisdom we learn what power we already have with which to deal with today’s challenges regarding: money, debt, health and personal freedom.

We are all equal and we all have a voice. Inquiring minds gives everyone the opportunity to share and participate in a local and global conversation.

Inquiring Minds meets every Wednesday or Thursday night at the Royal Oak, Pewsey, for films, talks, or informal inquiry on important topics .

Everyone is welcome and the format is simple enough to replicate in your own area.

History
In March 2009, following over six years of general study of what goes on behind the curtain and prompted by the contrived banking crisis and blatant stepping up of the already outrageous wealth extraction, Malcolm began presenting a weekly film night at the Royal Oak in Pewsey Wiltshire.

The original intention was to screen the four episodes of Bremner Bird and Fortune’s hilarious satire “Silly Money” (on the right sidebar under ‘Entertainment’), however the concept of showing contentious documentaries, conference presentations and films soon attracted an enthusiastic audience and a need to diversify. (a list of those shown in 2009 should appear on this website soon)

The meetings’ format for this type of activity, has advantages over going to a cinema on the one hand and a guest speaker on the other, mainly because the audience can choose the subject and  if necessary the video can be stopped – maybe to discuss a critical issue, before moving on.

Try that in a cinema – or with a live guest speaker!
In fact, most posters for 2009 carried the following message -
See the film,  Discuss the Issues, Ask the Questions,  Have Your Say
with the focus very much on direct human to human interaction.

Towards the end of 2009 it became apparent that more and more material was becoming available across an ever widening range of important and ultimately connected issues, far more than could be shown on a weekly basis. Also, because of the nature of the material we were covering and the contacts we were making, we found ourselves involved or more involved with organisations such as The Marlborough Research Group, UKColumn, TPUC, The British Constitution Group and Alternative View (Ian R Crane) and their associates.

The loosely formed group adopted the name ‘Inquiring Minds’ and almost by accident found itself hosting a ‘live’ American guest speaker (NWO Conspiracy stuff) in November. Although the speaker proved to be unpopular, the event was well attended and the buzz of a live event set the mould for 2010.

The video material issue was approached by creating an Inquiring Minds DVD label for downloadable and non copyright DVDs sold for a small charge to cover costs and make the information easily available. This process has continued and the DVDs are available at our meetings.

But for 2010 it was clear that if possible we could be more effective if we could attract a range of guest speakers. Thankfuly, Ian R Crane, founder of the Alternative View Conferences (see sidebar) made the first committment and others soon followed. Several in the group, having specialist knowledge, expressed an interest in giving a presentation and so a varied programme was created. – see main page of this site.

The Future
These are difficult and challending times. The puppet government’s ‘austerity’ programme (more wealth extraction) is being persued with vigour and superb professional skill (well enough to fool most ‘consumers’) and should be undermined and exposed for the fraud that it is. Sadly perhaps, in some respects the live speaker events have reduced the appeal of the film nights which may now have served their purpose in Pewsey.

Despite the masses of important information on video, and the urgency surrounding the direction our society is being taken (in fear) so rapidly, it seems that a programme of live guest speakers is what is needed to do the job.

Further, I am being urged by a substantial number of committed regular attendees ( sorry fellow humans I’m struggling to find a better term) to re focus on my original quest ie Monetary Reform and the huge workload that comes with it. And indeed this is an urgent and central to everything essential issue. Unfortunately, as we say, life isn’t that simple. If we aren’t prepared to see the dots and connect them, we’ll never see the big picture, although as humans we are perfectly capable of thinking we have. Nevertheless, that’s where the focus will be.

I’ve tried to build up the links in the right hand side bar on this website to create a spectrum, a panaorama, call it what you like, of interlocking issues and would ask you to explore these links and come up with suggestions of your own, both for the development of the online resource, so that many more may benefit, and for guest speakers for this autumn’s programme.

all the best

Malcolm
