At some point in this remarkable interview which at times touches on the crop circle phenomena – (a tribute to the scope and depth of Matt’s programme and guests), Cameron explains how Glickers proves formations are made by aliens because they stand the crop up rather than knock it down! Matt clearly knows this sometimes happens when mistakes need correcting.

“The second error was mine and potentially much more serious, I missed a marker whilst holding one of the surveyor’s tapes used to construct the centrepiece which resulted in the first three curves being higher at one side than the other (one line out). When I realised and owned up, I was given a dunces cap and told to stand in one place where I couldn’t do any more harm. Circlemakers very rarely speak above a whisper but on this occasion “windofchange WTF are you doing?” must have been heard the other side of Swindon! As if by magic, the other team members remade the lines correctly and the designer stood the wrongly flatten crop back up! While I shivered (anchored to the spot, lightly dressed for heavy work ) in the early hours cold. Amazingly such was the quality of the repair, I haven’t noticed anyone remark on finding this.”
