I wonder ...the same outcome was forecast for Iceland and look at it now? They have a government of the people acting for the people.
What the banks and financiers fear most is that other countries realise that those who are default on their fabricated debts, have realised that they the people and their labour are the true wealth of any nation. If you cannot afford to import you begin manufacturing the essentials yourself and so create employment. If you produce your own currency, the government and business can borrow from it interest free, making their products more competitive than their former EU member countries and so exports will begin.
Never write of a nation who says, 'No!' to remaining debt slaves of the EU and IMF, but stand back in awe at the speed of their recovery.

Comment on The most likely outcome is that eventually, despite a new election, Greece will end up with an unelected technocratic regime that effectively does the bidding of Brussels and the IMF. The problem, though, is that this would almost certainly provoke bloody street protests, as well as giving an even bigger boost to the parties of the far-Left and ultra-nationalist Right. by You would like to think that George Osborne’s Treasury officials have already drawn up contingency plans to deal with the possible collapse of the euro and implosion of the European economy. |
